Massimo Gatti from Bluegrass Stuff assembled a group we called the Bluegrass Cats, composed of members of Bluegrass Stuff. Massimo is one of the finest mandolin players I have ever worked with and a good harmony singer, too. Leo Di Giacomo, who has played with Bluegrass Stuff for seven years, provides superb rhythm (and lead) guitar and is also an excellent lead and harmony singer. Massimo’s son Icaro Gatti did a fine job on the bass. All in all, these fellows were a pleasure to work with and a credit to Italy’s bluegrass music scene.
